Paul grew up in New England and attended college at the University of San Francisco and UC Santa Cruz, falling in love with the mountains, rivers, deserts and outdoor environments of the West. He moved to Boulder in 1996 where he lives on a 1-acre, organic flower and vegetable farmette. For 30-years he led teams in strategic business development, marketing, communications and public engagement for nonprofits, outdoor brands, and the city of Boulder. A life-long learner and environmental advocate, in 2020, Paul turned his attention to the human causes and dimensions of climate change. His passion is advancing climate and energy literacy in Colorado. He joined Go Electric Colorado in its first year and has become co-director, leading strategy, business development and funding. He is also a strategy consultant and grant writer for California and national climate action and clean energy organizations. He began his personal clean energy transition in 2024 replacing a gas furnace with 20kw of solar PV, a heat pump, induction cooking, improved air-sealing and insulation (with more to come in the near future!)

Julia is of the opinion that everyone needs to drop everything and work to fight climate change because the worst case scenarios (which are becoming more probable each year) could result in billions of deaths or even the extinction of the human race. After dropping everything, she became the president of the Denver Electric Vehicle Council, the Events Coordinator for the Denver Tesla Club, and a volunteer brand ambassador for Aptera (a solar EV company). She participates in many EV shows with Drive Electric Colorado and organizes other EV shows herself. She is working with Coltura to promote the idea of prioritizing gasoline superusers (high gasoline users) in EV policy. She works with Citizens Climate Lobby, 350 Colorado and other organizations to educate and promote legislation for EVs and climate change. She is an enthusiastic member of Go Electric Colorado, focusing on home consultations and workforce development.

“Everyone is a teacher. Everyone is a student.” Tony has a passion for realizing people’s potential and in particular making a sustainable difference for his clients. Before becoming a full time professional trainer and coach, Tony held a variety of scientific and change management positions in his 21 years at BP. It was his roles in Change Management that led him to leave BP to concentrate on helping many organizations explore organizational and individual change programs to pursue continuous improvement and help realize their full potential. Since retiring, using his scientific background, Tony has focussed his attention on addressing Climate Change. With plenty of help, he has designed and built a net-zero home in Laporte, Colorado, and now volunteers for Citizens Climate Lobby and Go Electric Colorado. He helps the community and individuals in developing action plans to improve their homes’ energy efficiency and to electrify with the aim to eliminate GHG emissions.

Jeff is the son of western-Kansas farmers, a father of five, husband to his kindergarten crush, a fly fisherman and a marketer — pretty much in that order. As he’s fly-fished the country, he’s seen the impacts of climate change. He joined Go Electric Colorado to help do something about it. He’s spent the last 30 years learning everything there is to know about marketing, from branding & positioning to go-to-market planning to paid, earned and owned execution. In his day job, he’s focused on helping Clentech companies to better business outcomes through brand-business strategy alignment, go-to-market plan development, and campaign execution. In 2017, he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, the tallest, free-standing mountain in the world at 19,340 feet. It was one of his biggest mental tests and greatest physical challenges.

Clean energy and energy efficiency have been a passion since starting my degree in Mechanical Engineering. But electrification became a full blown obsession when I moved into my first home two years ago. I experienced how messy, confusing, and frustrating the process is today, and I want to make it easier for you. When I’m not geeking out about heat pumps, I like to be out hiking, biking, or trail running. Hopefully I can help other homeowners electrify faster so they can get back to the mountains themselves.

A former aerospace engineer and current Boulder resident, carbon-neutralizing his life — and helping others do the same — has become a pastime. Stu considers himself “working the problem into the ground.” Originally from Boston, Stu has been living in CO for more than 20 years. He flew professionally for 40 years and retired as a B777 captain in 2017. Interest in electrification really took off when he got his first EV – a leased Leaf in 2014. Stu started on full-scale electrification just a few years later (late 2017) with PV, heat pump, etc. Beyond electrification, Stu remains an active member of the New England Wildflower Society, and continues here as a member of Colorado Native Plant Society with his own certified native plant garden. He’s also been a Scout leader for the past 20 years and has led 3 Alaska expeditions plus a Boundary Waters trip in 2021. You can ask him about most things aquatic, from canoeing to water polo.
